god, i love ice cream. i especially like perusing the various ben & jerry’s flavors in the freezer section. the names are so creative, and the descriptions mouth-watering. once i swore i would try every single flavor – but of course i end up sticking with one or two favorites.
actually, i think they may have discontinued my all-time fave. i forget the name, but it was vanilla ice cream with swirls of caramel and fudge – “vanilla caramel fudge,” perhaps? no fancy pieces or anything, just the two extras. i don’t care for chocolate-based ice creams, so some of the otherwise delectable choices aren’t much of a consideration (to my waistline’s gratitude) – like “chunky monkey.” i’ve tried magic brownies, pistachio, one sweet whirled (my all-time fave standy-by when i can’t decide on another flavor; it’s coffee ice cream with swirls of marshmallow and caramel… i think), cherry garcia, and – just today – vermonty python. hehe.
vermonty python – the name made me smile. there’s a picture of a hand holding the “holy grail,” and flying cows in the air. it’s description: “coffee liqueur ice cream with a chocolate cookie crumb swirl & fudge cows.” it’s pretty good, but i think i’ll go with another flavor next time. (pause) damn, I just finished off the entire pint.
flavors i’m curious about: chubby hubby (“fudge-covered peanut butter-filled pretzels in vanilla malt ice cream rippled with fudge & peanut butter”), dublin mudslide (“irish cream liqueur ice cream with chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, and a coffee fudge swirl”), and turtle soup (“vanilla ice cream with fudge & caramel cashews & a caramel swirl”).
do you have a favorite?
